Campaign Finance

Plaintiffs’ firms and the trial bar regularly pour massive amounts of money into elections, campaigns, and various trial bar political action committees.

The Problem

Financially propping up the campaigns of favorable candidates for elected office is yet another move in the trial lawyer’s playbook, demonstrating how personal injury lawyers attempt to tilt the system further in their favor.

They support candidates in order to expand liability, allow trial lawyers to seek outsized damage awards in court and then receive one-third if not more of the ultimate payout, further lining their pockets.
