Partners & Programs

Nationwide Reach. Nationwide Impact.

One of ATRA’s greatest assets is its network of tort reform advocates and state coalitions that advance ATRA’s agenda in state capitals. These trusted allies and programs help further ATRA’s mission: real justice in our courts.

Coalitions & Allies

ATRA’s partners include allies and coalitions working toward lawsuit reform across the nation. Their work is bolstered by an “army” of more than 160,000 citizen supporters who have joined together in state and local grassroots groups. Together, the state coalitions and grassroots activists are an effective one-two punch in the fight for state tort reform. These allies work actively within their communities to urge individual responsibility and safety while chronicling abuses of the legal system.

Programs

ATRA’s and the American Tort Reform Foundation’s (ATRF’s) various programs continue the work of education surrounding civil justice reform across the country, including the annual Judicial Hellholes® report published by ATRF.

ATR Foundation

ATRF is a District of Columbia nonprofit corporation, founded in 1997. The primary purpose of ATRF is to help bring greater fairness, efficiency and predictability to our civil justice system by educating the public, media and policymakers about the need for a balanced civil justice system, how the American civil justice system operates, the role of tort law in the civil justice system, and the impact of tort law on the private, public and business sectors of society.

ATRF periodically publishes papers and reports that advance the understanding of the civil justice system and how to improve the balance, predictability and overall fairness of the system. ATRF is the publisher of the popular annual Judicial Hellholes® report.

ATRF is a District of Columbia corporation designated by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3).
