COVID-19 Liability and Litigation

The COVID-19 global pandemic has created a cottage industry for trial lawyers seeking to file lawsuits against companies they believe did not protect employees or consumers from the virus, against health care workers who may have been unable to treat patients in a timely manner during the pandemic, against manufacturers who shifted their production capabilities to fill needs for critical supplies during the pandemic, and many other lawsuits yet to be filed.

The Problem

Small and large businesses, health care workers, and hospitals were forced to make decisions and follow guidelines set forth by governments which may have shifted as more became known about the highly contagious coronavirus. Learn more about COVID-19 liability.

ATRA supports legislation providing liability protection for critical industries and workers who aided in the fight against coronavirus.
