Mead Johnson & Co. LLC v. Greear

SCOTUS

(U.S., filed August 7, 2026): Arguing that the lower court’s holding on specific jurisdiction inexplicably ignores and conflicts with this Court’s decision in BMS. The lower court’s holding on general jurisdiction cannot be squared with this Court’s decisions or an historical understanding of the traditional limits on in personam jurisdiction. The lower court’s boundless conception of general jurisdiction opens the floodgates for out-of-state defendants to be sued on any claim in a well-known goldmine for forum shopping.
